- Model mechanical design layouts and assemblies.
- Work to standard procedures or written and oral instructions from supervisor.
- Interpret order requirements from a mix of written description, customer specification, bills of material, and known best practices.
- Model parts and assemblies for product maintenance activities.
- Act as ECN Administrator and ensure efficient completion of the process for each ECN.
- Demonstrate advanced computer skills with required software.
- Provide technical assistance to manufacturing / engineering groups.
- Address and resolve issues that surface with little to no supervision.
- Support tooling and material information.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects/assignments/duties.
- Proficient use of the ECN and Document Management Systems to process changes and implement new product information.
- Proficiently use Enovia BOM to create new assemblies.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required.
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant product design experience OR minimum seven (7) years of related work experience and product knowledge with MCC/ICD products and systems.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field preferred.
- Prior knowledge of Motor Control Centers and/or Package Control Assemblies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering and design software programs such as Inventor.
- Familiarity with SAP and/or MAPICS
- Understanding and application of drafting standards and techniques (using computer-aided engineering software)
- Capability to visualize components, features and assemblies in three-dimensional space
- Ability to use required engineering software tools and other common computer software (word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, etc.)
- Know and follow established job specific and facility wide health and safety procedures and rules.
- Bring health and safety issues, unsafe acts and safety suggestions to management's attention or correct those they can.
- Actively participate in accident, injury and illness prevention activities:
- Develop job safety analysis and safe working procedures.
- Identify and correct hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Accident, near-miss accident or potential hazard investigations.
- Keep other employees aware of health and safety practices and activities by actively observing fellow employee work practices and incorporating safety.
- Maintain housekeeping in work area.
- Maintain health and safety equipment in good working order.
- Actively participate in health and safety training and demonstrate competency based on training received.
- Participate actively in providing suggestions for the health and safety program improvement.
- Know and implement regulatory compliance requirements in their work area.
