Brumfield, HR Analyst C985-878-1385 (office) sbrum5@lsuhsc.eduMinimum QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:One year of experience as a phlebotomist, EKG/ECG technician, pulmonary technician, respiratory care technician; or in the care, preparation or handling of laboratory animals or laboratory specimens; or in the preparation and handling of cadavers.SUBSTITUTIONS:College training will substitute for the required experience on the basis of thirty semester hours for one year of experience provided that six semester hours of each thirty are in any one or a combination of these specialized fields: laboratory animal technology, laboratory animal science, animal science, biology, microbiology, chemistry, nursing, zoology, agricultural sciences, physics, bacteriology, histological techniques, medical technology, immunology, urology or renewable resources.Certification as an Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician by the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science will substitute for all of the required experience.An associate degree in nursing will substitute for all of the required experience.Benefits for unclassified employees are determined by the individual hiring authority.
