- Develop, implement, and oversee global EHS strategies, policies, and programs to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to regional EHS teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental sustainability.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, supply chain, and human resources, to integrate EHS considerations into business processes and decision-making.
- Lead incident investigation and root cause analysis efforts to identify trends, mitigate risks, and prevent recurrence of incidents.
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and industry organizations to stay abreast of emerging EHS trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Prepare and present reports on EHS performance, initiatives, and metrics to senior management and executive leadership.
- Drive a culture of safety and environmental stewardship by fostering employee engagement, training, and awareness programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in environmental, health, and safety leadership roles within the food or beverage manufacturing industry, with experience in distribution.
- Strong understanding of global EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing successful EHS programs that drive continuous improvement and achieve measurable results.
- Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating effectively across multiple geographies.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Competitive salary starting around $225,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- Eligible for a performance-based bonus ranging from 20% to 30% of base salary.
