For more information, visit .POSITION SUMMARY:Part TimeThe MDS Coordinator will coordinate, record, update and monitor all Minimum Data Set documentation for each Medicare patient as required by state regulations and other appropriate authorities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform essential functions satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation; including, but not limited to:
  • Regulates and maintains the MDS/PPS program and completion schedule
  • Develops and coordinates appropriate nursing care plan from MDS/RUG category
  • Analyzes assessment data independently for complex patient problems and identifies early subtle changes that formulate RUG categories and affect patient care
  • Evaluates effectiveness of nursing care plans, and updates MDS/RAI process with completion guidelines
  • Provide care to patients including administration of treatments, medications, social and emotional support
Required Work Experience:
  • Two (2) years’ or more experience required
Licensing/Certification/Education Requirements:
  • Completion of a Registered Nurse program
  • Current State of Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure
Other Requirements:
  • Position may require unscheduled overtime, week-end work
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours
Physical Requirements:
  • Job will require frequent lifting of objects up to 40 pounds
