- Position will receive, check in, unpack and distribute incoming deliveries for department pickup or delivery.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Assisting in maintaining materials documents, files and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in performing general and program specific clerical functions (e.g. answering the telephones, distributing purchase orders, scheduling, copying, faxing, etc.) for the purpose of supporting departmental activities.
- Assist in reviewing documents and data (e.g. incoming requisitions, past purchase, reconciliations, inventories, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring completeness and accuracy of purchasing/materials process.
- Maintains records in accordance with established policies and procedures and audit guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
- Carries out other duties as assigned.
- Three years experience in a purchasing environment or related field required (medical setting preferred).
- Requires a valid Texas Driver's License, appropriate driving record and auto liability insurance that meets the minimum required by State of Texas statute.
- Knowledge of purchasing/materials and contracting policies, laws and regulations
- Energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
- The ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
- Superior organizational and problem solving skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for periods of time.
- Physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position.
