MDES is a large platform with almost 300 Technical Assets and 29 development teams. Driving consistent develop practices, technical education and awareness, and overall strategic alignment requires a consistent focus and diligence or the various parts of MDES will not work together flawlessly.
The Non- switching pieces of MDES responsible for token assignment, provisioning, life-cycle management, partner communication, transaction notification, cryptogram generation and other functions is comprised of over 30 bounded contexts. Most product features will require changes across many teams and components. The ability to quickly understand and identify the impacted areas at a high level is foundational to MDES being able to plan work and create a roadmap and backlog for each team.
Role
The PE role will be responsible for driving technical consistency and awareness across development team as well as working closely with the MDES Product, Regions, Partners, SRE, QE, Ops, and other MA Teams on MDES initiatives in the early stages to understand the technical impacts and look for synergies with existing functionality and/or other requested work. They will work closely with myself and a Sr. PE for the Switching side to coordinate MDES efforts
