Advanced Practice Provider - Opioid Treatment Program(Minimum 6 months Suboxone experience required to be considered)SouthLight is now the largest Opioid Treatment clinic in the state of NC! Join a supportive team who values Compassion, Excellence, Collaboration, Inclusion, Hope, & Authenticity!We currently have an opening for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at our Opioid Treatment clinic located on Garner Rd. in Raleigh, NC.As our Advanced Practice Provider (APP), under physician supervision, you will provide medical and clinical services, working within the scope of practice as regulated by the NC Board of Nursing and/or NC Medical Board. The OTP APP will practice in SouthLight's Opiate Medication-Assisted Treatment. This position will play an active role in daily intake and weekly treatment team meetings. The OTP APP will collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure clients are receiving safe, holistic, evidence-based, quality care in a compassionate, therapeutic environment.ScheduleMonday - Friday, 40 hours per week.PayStarting at $130,000, based on experience.BenefitsBeing a part of a non-profit behavioral health organization has some unique benefits, along with our incredible health insurance options. SouthLight is an approved employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).Job Responsibilities of an Advanced Practice Provider
  • Provide general preventative care, medical, and/or psychiatric evaluation/referral and treatment
  • Order methadone/buprenorphine, monitor for efficacy and potential adverse reactions, and respond appropriately to high risk situations
  • Review and signs person centered treatment plans, clinical assessments and EHR
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems, treatment progress or other health care needs
  • Review UDS for OTP clients - census of ~800 clients
  • Record physical findings and formulate plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition
  • Participate in quality improvement meetings with supervising physician
  • Provide clinical supervision of support staff during clinic hours, as needed
  • Available for rotating on-call duties regarding guest dosing and dose confirmations
Qualifications of an Advanced Practice ProviderLicensure/Certifications
  • National NP or PA certification (must have Master's degree) + 1 year minimum experience prescribing Methadone, Buprenorphine/opioid treatment medication
OR
  • PMHNP credential
  • Current unrestricted DEA registration
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Minimum of 6 months Suboxone experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • General computer skills and ability to use EHR
  • Analytical thinking in a medical setting
