Deputy Program Manager (F-15 /EPAWSS)Company: The Boeing CompanyJob ID: 00000423008Date Posted: 2024-04-23Location: USA - Berkeley, MOJob Description Qualifications:Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Program Manager to join our team located in Berkeley, MO.This position will support the F-15 program with strong project management and leadership experience to support the highly visible EPAWSS (Eagle Passive-Active Warning Survivability System) Development program. This position is a challenging role that requires strong leadership, strong customer intimacy, and a strong understanding of the Boeing team. EPAWSS is a significant program to F-15 portfolio, protecting our Air Dominance program in highly contested areas.Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing business management activities in the area of Program Management
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports, including suppliers, partners, and government customers and representatives.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in building strong relationships with partners, military customers and suppliers
  • Experience working with and briefing USG customers on performance status;
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in engineering and/or organizational leadership/program management
  • 3+ years of experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representatives
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience working with proposals, contracts, and/or contract terms
  • Experience on military fighter platforms (F-16, F-18, F-22, F-5, F-14, or F-15)
  • Experience managing financial and schedule performance for a large-scale program or project
  • Experience briefing internal and external senior and executive leadership on program or project performance
  • Experience with Program Management on defense related programs
Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related workexperience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
