- Flexibility and a positive attitude are imperative for the OCES role.
- Assist with maintaining the Center’s social media and website pages.
- Collaborates with on-going professional development and training with CSI departments and off-campus centers.
- Works to resolve issues while serving as a liaison between the student and other departments, explains and administers institution policies.
- Ability to organize resources and establish priorities.
- Maintain student confidentiality and records following office, college, and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) policies.
- Assist the Off-Campus Center Coordinator with coverage tasks.
- Serves as a key center staff member during the student registration process.
- Provides accurate guidance to students and their families on admissions, advising, bridge, career services, financial aid and scholarships, registration, and general information to current and prospective students, and assist students in reaching their educational goals.
- Maintain a case management of students to provide regular contact and support to assist them from application through graduation.
- Maintains student records including class registration, name changes, forms intake, and other miscellaneous information or documents.
- Ability to maintain registration deadlines, including high school and transfer student needs.
- Responsible for tracking and understanding the student market in the assigned region, understanding educational systems, and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of CSI programs, degrees, admissions requirements, financial aid and scholarships, registration, institutional data points, and an understanding of enrollment cycles.
- Data entry, report production, and student records creation.
- Responsible for accurate and efficient document processing, review, and auditing.
- Provides positive, timely, and responsive action to students, staff, faculty, and third parties.
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short-and-long-range center goals for student recruitment and retention.
- Special projects and student outreach (student contact calls) efforts
- Student Photo ID Card issuance.
- Completes cashiering functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Serves as a key center staff member during the student registration process.
- Empower students (including dual credit) through the advising relationship process:
- To acquire knowledge of available campus resources.
- Develop student personal growth and self-fulfillment.
- Cultivate decision-making skills as they plan and make informed decisions regarding educational and career goals.
- Foster a student-centered success environment through advising.
- Structure collaborative relationships with assigned advisees.
- Provide students with skills and strategies in becoming self-regulated learners.
- Assist students in identifying and overcoming obstacles that impede academic success.
- Help students focus on individual goals and identify steps in reaching those goals.
- Support students to develop time management and organizational skills.
- Apply the proactive advising model and best practices to effectively problem-solve advising issues.
- Understand and comply with the college catalog, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor student progress to degree completion and offer intervention services for at-risk students.
- Acts with integrity and upholds the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) core values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree in Leadership or Higher Education, or related field preferred) from an accredited college or university.
- 2 or more years of experience in higher education preferred.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with Operating Systems preferred.
- Experience with Admissions, Recruiting and Transition processes preferred.
- Experience with Dual Credit and Advanced Opportunities preferred.
- Experience involving exceptional student/customer service.
- Ability to compile and analyze information and data for reporting.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Strong cross-cultural, interpersonal, and oral/writing skills.
- Strong computer and technical skillset.

- Will require the use of a personal, reliable vehicle. Mileage relating to and from high schools from an established base (campus or off-campus center) will be reimbursed at the institutional rate.
