- Provides technical support to the Coastal Levee Boards and other Flood Control Entities in developing and implementing the coastal area levee inspection and evaluation program
- Use of specialized technical engineering functions (Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Hydraulics, etc.)
- Conducts hurricane damage assessments and periodic on-site inspections of levees, floodwalls and associated infrastructure using specialized inspection equipment
- Reviews design reports, plans and specifications
- Monitors, maintains and updates project files and folders
- Drafts correspondence directed to private owners, consulting engineers, local state and federal government agencies
