This position is located at our Clinic.**This position may be eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus with a 2 year commitment.** This position is eligible for Avera's student loan repayment program which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Job Summary
  • Appropriate specimen collection and corresponding orders for diagnostic testing.
  • Performance and appropriate documentation of diagnostic testing.
  • Accurate and timely reporting of diagnostic testing.
  • Performance and interpretation of Quality Control/Calibration and participation in all quality assessment/improvement activities.
  • Maintaining clinical competency through on-going education and professional development.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer’s status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
Education and/or Experience
  • Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
  • Minimum: Clinical internship/education as part of Associate Degree Program.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • National Certification: MLT (ASCP) or equivalent.
  • Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire date.
Work Schedule
  • Day/Evening shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks
  • 7:30 am - 8:00 pm; shifts range from 8 hours to 11 hours
  • Every 3rd weekend / holiday
PayThe hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
  • $22.00 - $31.75 per hour
