- Research Planning: Identifying areas of potential research and establishing objectives and goals for R&D projects.
- Literature Review: Conducting thorough literature reviews to understand existing research and technologies related to the project.
- Experimental Design: Designing experiments and methodologies to test hypotheses and gather data. Design test stands capable of running required experiments and run all required experiments.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collecting data from experiments, analyzing results, and drawing conclusions to inform decision-making.
- Innovation and Idea Generation: Coming up with new ideas, innovations, and solutions to improve existing products or develop new ones.
- Prototyping: Creating prototypes or proof-of-concept models to demonstrate the feasibility of a new product or technology.
- Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, such as engineers, designers, and marketing professionals, to ensure effective R&D integration into the product development process.
- Intellectual Property: Identifying and protecting valuable intellectual property through patents or other means.
- Project Management: Overseeing R&D projects, setting timelines, managing resources, and ensuring projects stay on track.
- Market and Technology Trends Analysis: Staying up to date with industry trends, market demands, and emerging technologies to guide future R&D efforts.
- Masters degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Strong Technical Background: A solid understanding of the technical principles and concepts relevant to Tribology and Mechanical Seals. Working experience in Tribology required.
- Product Development: Ten+ years experience in Product Development and Research & Development
- Analytical Thinking: The ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful conclusions to guide decision-making.
- Problem-Solving: An aptitude for identifying challenges and finding creative and innovative solutions.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: The ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams and foster a collaborative environment.
- Project Management: Skills in planning, organizing, and executing R&D projects effectively.
- Adaptability: Being able to adjust to changing priorities and new challenges that may arise during the research process.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in experimental design, data collection, and analysis.
- Knowledge of Regulations: Depending on the industry, awareness of relevant regulations and compliance requirements may be necessary.
- Intellectual Curiosity: A genuine passion for exploration, learning, and pushing the boundaries of current knowledge.
- Willing and physically able to travel (fly/drive) both domestic and international up to 10% of time.
