Transportation Routing Specialist - Special Education - (Full Time - 12 month)BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the coordination, planning and developing of special education routing. Acts as a liaison with parents for concerns, special requests, and information updates. Communicates with SPED drivers regarding routes, student updates, route changes and concerns. Dispatch duties as assigned by the Transportation Director.REPORTS TO:

Class C1DHourly Wage Range: $21.37 (starting) to $24.67
Full Benefit PackageEducation Required: High School Diploma/GED
Successful completion of a 1 year post-secondary program in computers or technology, or equivalent experience.Licensing Required: Valid Minnesota Driver’s License
Ability to obtain and maintain a class B license with school bus endorsements within 3 months of hire date.
Ability to obtain a DOT Medical CertificateEducation Preferred: Experience with routing software. Bus Driver Safety TrainingSkills Required: Demonstrated proficiency with computers and varied programs. Ability to organize large amounts of data, work with and understand numerical data. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, displaying tact, patience and judgement. Knowledge of modern office equipment and general office skills (filing, phone answering). Consistent and regular attendance is essential.Skills Preferred: Windows based program experience. Spreadsheet, database and word processing applications.Experience Preferred: Experience in a transportation related field. Understanding of basic bus routes, general knowledge of buses/equipment, basic understanding of the needs and requirements for transporting special services students. Versa-Trans Routing software experience.
