The Restaurant Supervisor ("Supervisor/a de Restaurante") assists management in supervision of the restaurant's personnel to ensure that the restaurant, bar, room service teams are providing exceptional service and a product of high quality and value.PAY & PERKS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Maintains a house bank and conforms to established cash-handling procedures.
Supervises the department's staff in established safety and emergency procedures. * Ensures that all areas are maintained at the highest level of cleanliness in accordance with the Health Department and hotel standards.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Interviews, and trains employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2-4 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Experience running shifts, scheduling, performance management, problem-solving, guest servicing and running day-to-day operations.
  • Must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire. Evans Hotels will provide this training and is to be completed at the company’s expense.
  • RBS certification required.
  • Previous similar position in a restaurant or hotel is preferred.
  • Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
