- Participate in transportation planning assignments, including micro-simulation, corridor studies, safety studies, Interchange Access Request (IAR) documentation, and Transportation System Management and Operations (TSM&O) studies.
- Analyze traffic count and crash data.
- Prepare Typical Section, Equivalent Single Axle Loads (ESAL), and Lane Closure analysis memorandums for design projects.
- Collect traffic data or perform surveys in the field when needed.
- Assist with written reports and presentations of project findings that support PD&E studies, Design/Concept projects, signal warrant analysis, and corridor retiming studies.
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or Urban Planning with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.
- Candidates must have completed three years of study in their program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
- Candidate must be highly motivated, curious, and have a team player attitude.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

- The selected candidate must be available to work in Pompano Beach, FL on a scheduled basis.
