QualificationsEducation: Graduate of a Dental School recognized by the ADA Counsel on Dental Education. Dental Residency Program is required. Current Connecticut Dental License and current narcotics license are required. CPR Certification is required.Experience: Prior experience is preferred. New graduates can apply. Familiarity with EPIC Systems is highly desirable.SummaryThe Dentist is responsible for examining, diagnosing, counseling, and performing dental treatment for patients. Under the direction of the Director of Dental, the Dentist will participate in departmental and center-wide activities. Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures: Examines patient to determine the nature of the condition, utilizing x-rays, dental instruments, and other diagnostic procedures. Cleans, fills, extracts, and replaces teeth, using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical implements.
