You will be responsible to organize production according to demand and quality standards. You will be responsible to provide production schedule on weekly and monthly horizon in line with the demand and ensure smooth and efficient flow of production in our operations.What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?The role is responsible to plan, schedule, coordinates and monitor the production of semifinished goods as per the requirement through the complete production cycle. The incumbent is responsible for providing manufacturing work orders to production floor and monitor daily production to ensure uninterrupted delivery. The incumbent plays a vital role in coordination between the end customer and production to notify any potential schedule impact and expedite production to ensure targets are achieved.Reports to: EMF Scheduling ManagerReporting Level: Individual ContributorGeographic Scope: LocalWHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Production Schedule Development: Develop production schedule for yearly, monthly, and weekly horizon ensuring efficient utilization of resources, equipment, and utilities while meeting end customer demand.
- Capacity Planning: Analyze production capacity and constraints through data to optimize production schedule. Continuously monitor the production performance and capacity utilization to anticipate future capacity needs and proactively address potential constraints.
- Schedule Adherence: Implement robust monitoring and tracking systems to closely monitor production progress against established schedules and key performance indicators (KPIs).Quickly identify deviations from the plan, root causes of delays, and areas for improvement through regular communication with production teams and real-time data analysis
- Communication and Coordination: Act as a central point of contact for all production scheduling inquiries, requests, and updates, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information to relevant parties. Lead regular production planning meetings to review schedule adherence, address operational challenges, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to resolve issues and optimize performance. Coordinate to schedule stock count activities on site by aligning the key stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the production planning function, promoting the adoption of best practices, lean principles, and innovation in scheduling methodologies.
- Actively gather performance data, and conduct root cause analysis to identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, minimizing leftovers and increase efficiency gains.
- Record Keeping and Compliance: Ensure compliance with record-keeping standards, data integrity protocols, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a secure and organized repository of production planning documents for audit and reporting purposes. Stay abreast of industry regulations, quality standards, and finance procedures and processes related to production planning and scheduling, ensuring full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- The candidate should have university engineering degree/MBA with 0-2 years of experience in a similar role to demonstrate competence.
- Experience with business process management software such as SAP, ERP is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and Power BI
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills and numerical proficiency.
- Exhibit a “can do” demeanour and be comfortable with multitasking and have a good understanding of time critical requirements.
