- Ambitious and outgoing individuals who are interested in building an outside sales career within the freight forwarding logistics industry.
- Ability to build relationships while cold calling and be confident in presenting information to prospective customers on the company's shipping services during face-to-face meetings.
- 1-5 years of experience working as a freight forwarder or in the logistics industry.
- Generate new business through cold calling, on average 40 calls per day.
- Build and maintain a customer base by recognizing freight forwarding business opportunities.
- Partner with internal subject matter experts to become well educated in all OEC products and services.
- Offer solutions through OEC Group's services including ocean, air, warehousing & distribution, LTL & FTL transportation, cargo insurance and customs brokerage.
- Achieve monthly sales quotas set by the sales management team.
- Utilize Sugar (CRM) to track client's key information, build and maintain sales pipeline, and measure KPIs.
- Work closely with the sales support team by reviewing quotes to ensure the client's needs are met.
- Meet with current and potential clients within assigned territory.
- Maintain consistent communication with other departments and overseas offices.
- Monitor international freight forwarding market trends and conditions.
- Outside sales experience or operations experience in freight forwarding
- Bachelor’s degree in International Transportation, International Business, Supply Chain Management or related field is a plus
