- Location: Berwick
- Develop and deliver planned teaching sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, using technology, including Moodle, to engage learners and meet their needs and learning styles including assessing student work
- Ensure that teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards, training packages and related requirements
- Improve the quality of teaching and learning through a student based approach and adaptive curriculum
- Work collaboratively with industry to align current and emerging industry needs and facilitate relevant and responsive delivery models that engage learners
- Contribute to business development activities such as tenders and submissions to support business growth and the Institute’s fee for service goals
- Complete workplace visits during workplace/clinical placements and liaise with key stakeholders such as employers, schools and other education providers to explore pathway options for learners
- Ensure high quality, up to date and relevant teaching delivery, assessment and student engagement strategies to support learner success and contribute to the achievement of Chisholm shared goals
- Maintain professional development to ensure industry and educational currency and excellence
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116
- Vocational qualifications at an AQF level based on level of teaching required and be able to teach across all year levels and competencies of the Electrical trade
- Vocational currency as demonstrated through a range of work and related experience
- Registration with relevant professional association/s (as required for the specific discipline)
- A record of Vocational Competency, mapped to Units of Competency engaged to deliver
- A record of Professional Currency, demonstrating current industry and teaching knowledge
- Advanced literacy and numeracy skills relevant to the position
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and guide students to optimise their learning outcomes
- Effective verbal and written communication skills relevant to a learning environment and collaborative workplace
- Proven ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with stakeholders from a broad range of social and cultural backgrounds
- Well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools
- Strong understanding of contemporary approaches to education, teaching and learning
- Ability to identify challenges in a classroom environment and effectively resolve these
- High level of responsiveness to learners from a range of backgrounds and emotional contexts
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging program materials and training sessions
- Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and employers to maintain currency of delivery methods and materials
