- Interim Manager for the Emergency Department Open to extended and open to transition to perm
- The Manager of Emergency Department is accountable for the direction, supervision and evaluation of patient care performed by nursing personnel within their assigned service setting in accordance with established goals.
- Responsible for unit operation, scheduling, position control, staffing and coordination of the quality improvement process.
- Applies advanced, broad-based knowledge of nursing practice and theory as well as, advanced knowledge of techniques of supervision, management and leadership as applied to specific nursing responsibilities.
- BLS and ACLS
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Emergency Room Manager experience.
- One year of Telemetry experience
- Graduate from a fully accredited RN program, BSN preferred
- Active unencumbered California RN license
- One year of Cerner experience
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
