- Provides authoritative technical advice and input regarding the U.S. defense and commercial industries.
- Serves as a spokesperson on technical defense issues.
- Conduct qualitative research, literature reviews, and other desktop studies, particularly related to U.S. defense and commercial industries' capabilities and technologies.
- Clean, code, and manage large volumes of qualitative and quantitative data.
- Provide support for data visualization and analysis.
- Draft reports, findings from evaluations, presentations and briefs, and other products.
- Provide additional support, including copy editing, preparing deliverables, and other tasks as needed.
- Engage partners, clients, and relevant stakeholders regarding research planning and execution as needed and under guidance of Team Lead.
- Communicate results to partners, clients, and other relevant stakeholders through check-in meetings, and other debriefs as needed.
- Master's degree in related field
- Active SECRET clearance.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in designing or conducting research and analytic programs in support of policy decision-making.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in defense-related roles, especially those related to defense articles, defense services, training, the defense export market, and other aspects of the U.S. defense industrial base.
- Experience working on U.S. security assistance and security cooperation in support of foreign partners.
- Understanding of foreign military roles and responsibilities in relation to U.S. security assistance.
- Experience with the U.S. Government defense and commercial industries, which may include but not limited to various funding authorities, programmatic activities (i.e., train & equip, professional military education, etc.), and commercial entities and their products.
- Experience conveying research and analysis for senior U.S. Government leadership.
- Strong analytical capabilities including conducting literature reviews and incorporating qualitative and quantitative data into evaluation/research findings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional knowledge of Foreign Military Financing (FMF) and/or the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) system.
- Experience analyzing climate security and climate mitigation policies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience conducting surveys, key informant interviews (KIIs), as well as individual/group interviews.
- Experience with the U.S. Department of State.
