DataStaff, Inc is currently seeking a Senior Azure Developer for a long-term contract opportunity for one of our direct clients in Richmond, VA*This position is remoteResponsibilities:
Work with our more established contractors and staff to focus on several web and Windows applications used both by internal staff and constituents.
Responsible for analysis, design, and coding for a new application.
Will be involved in maintenance, enhancement and development work.
Works with the Business Analyst, Application Architect and other Application Development Team members on an as-needed basis to ensure that design and code meets customer requirements.
May also need to work with SaaS and Cloud service providers.
Knowledge and Experience:
The candidate will need expertise as a programmer and designer for Cloud Services.
Experience implementing and developing applications to interface with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and other offerings from the major Cloud Service Providers required.
The candidate will need a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team.
Be comfortable working with C#, .NET Framework & Core, MVC & WebForms, Web Services; SQL, Git SCM, and Javascript.
Must be able to work without assistance, provide leadership for others, and manage highly complex work efforts.
Extensive industry experience is required with advanced education highly desireable.
Uses mobile and responsive design practices, so a familiarity with these methodologies would be a plus.
Required Skills:
At least 6 years of documented Azure experience is required, with strong ability to work without assistance on complex work efforts
6 Years - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure DevOps, etc.)
6 Years - Proficiency in C#, >NET, Python, Java, or Node.js
6 Years - Experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep for provisioning cloud resources
6 Years - Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and GitHub actions
6 Years - Working knowledge of Azure Functions and Logic Apps
6 Years - Experience with Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and storage solutions
6 Years - Understanding of identity management (Azure AD, RBAC, OAuth, etc.) networking security, and compliance best practices
6 Years - Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and working with API management
6 Years - Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
6 Years - Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
6 Years - Ability to work in Agile teams and communicate technical concepts effectively
6 Years - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a DevOps culture
Desired Skills:
6 Years - Azure certifications like AZ-204 (Azure Developer Associate) or AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer Expert) are highly desirable
