You'll play a pivotal role in fostering positive change among our youth by applying Positive Human Development (PHD) and Restorative Justice principles. Working closely with facility administration, your mission will be to provide proactive intervention and support, ensuring challenging youth receive the necessary guidance to thrive in their ideal placement. Your duties include facilitating behavior and skill development plans, resolving conflicts, and promoting engagement in various activities. With a focus on equity and inclusivity, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address individual needs and promote accountability.   • Respond to youth who are struggling to maintain in school, treatment groups, and/or other designated activities, using skills from the Safe Community Skill Development curriculum.
  • Support reintegration process for youth returning from isolation using a restorative lens, reintegration circles and other restorative practices to safely engage youth into their living units post incidents
  • Provide information to living unit teams in person, via email and the JJIS unit log on interventions provided to youth and any ongoing support needed for the youth including date for your next visit.

  • Starting Salary Expectations: $56,952.00 yearly to $65,616.00 yearly; based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
  • Position Salary Range: up to $88,704.00 Annual Salary
  • This position receives annual increases on anniversary date until the maximum of the salary range is reached.

  • A bachelor's degree in a behavioral science or related field; OR
  • Three years of experience observing, evaluating and recording behavior and maintaining discipline of individuals in a program related to juvenile justice, treatment programs, or special education within an institution or residential living unit; OR
  • An associate degree from an accredited school in a behavioral science or equivalent training program with an emphasis on juvenile systems, special education, and/or secondary education AND one year experience working in a juvenile justice, treatment, or secondary education program.
