  • The Maintenance Technician plays a pivotal role in providing mechanical and electrical support to Operations and Production under standard conditions. This includes troubleshooting, repair, preventative, and predictive maintenance tasks. The primary responsibility is to maintain and repair production and processing equipment to enhance reliability, minimize downtime, and optimize efficiency. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician mentors Production Technicians and junior Maintenance Technicians to enhance their skills and address maintenance issues effectively.
Job Duties:
  • Execute mechanical and electrical tasks, including breakdown analysis, equipment rebuilds, troubleshooting, adjustments, and maintenance for production equipment and facilities.
  • Participate in cross-functional improvement teams and contribute to problem-solving activities.
  • Serve as a Trainer and Mentor to Maintenance and Production Technicians, facilitating skills development and issue resolution.
  • Investigate root causes of equipment failures and communicate findings, recommending and implementing resolutions.
  • Interpret blueprints and manuals to guide maintenance activities effectively.
  • Adhere to safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards, ensuring a safe work environment, and reporting food safety issues to site leadership.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an Industrial Mechanic or Electrician role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, facilitating teamwork and discussions across all levels.
  • Technical proficiency in basic mechanic and electrical skills, breakdown analyses, equipment rebuilds, troubleshooting, PLC/Ladder Logic/HMI, and fabrication.
  • Demonstrated sense of responsibility, teamwork, accountability, and adaptability.
