At Volvo Construction Equipment you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large You will as Manufacturing Engineering Leader, be in a pivotal role in leading the Industrialization of road construction machines & Continuous Improvement in Quality, Productivity and Cost You will also be part of Local and Global Teams/ Networks working on specific Projects Who are you Do you dream big We do too, and we are excited to grow together. In this role, you will be leading two major areas: Industrialization of New Products including futuristic Products like E Mob etc, and Continuous Improvement in Product & Processes of our Road Machineries and Wheel Loader assemblies/ Fabrication. You should be B.E./ B. Tech. in Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Industrial & Production/ Automobile Engineering. You should have 8 to 12 Years of experience in Manufacturing/ Production Engineering Function in the Industries such as Construction Equipment/ Agriculture Equipment/ Automobile/ Machine Tool Manufacturing. You should have sound knowledge of Assembly Process Engineering, Tool/ Process/ Facilities/ Layout Planning, Continuous Improvement Tools & Techniques, Problem solving Tools & Techniques, PPAP & APQP. The key responsibilities would involve the following: 1) Capital Expenditure Planning, Tool Planning, Facilities Planning, Manufacturing Process Planning for New Products & Product Improvements (Engineering Changes) 2) Designing of Assembly Fixtures, Trolleys, Pallets, and customized Tools 3) Assembly Line designing & balancing. 4) Time & Method Study 5) Shop and workstation Layout designing 6) Thorough Knowledge about Assembly Tools, Torquing of Hardware, and Hydraulic joints. 7) Working Knowledge about Hydraulic Components and Circuits 8) Process & PPAP documentation eg Process Sheets, Work Instructions, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, Process Control Plans, check sheets etc 9) Working knowledge of machine electricals, and Embedded Software (ESW) Diagnosis for machine control Units 10) Knowledge about fabrication Fixtures and welding processes 11) Expert in using Catia, Windchill, AutoCAD, SAP PP, MS Office, MS Teams, Power BI 12) Knowledge of ProE Creo is desirable, preferably automated Process Sheet Creation. 13) Working knowledge of F4T initiatives, Virtual Assembly, Lean Manufacturing, VSM, Production Systems is preferable. 14) Having good communication skills (Written & Verbal), good interpersonal skills, customer focused, owns responsibility, passionate & with good drive and initiative. 15) Experience in Construction Equipment Industry, Agriculture Equipment Industry, Automobile Industry, Machine Tool Manufacturing Industry is preferable. 16) A degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics, or Industrial & Production Engineering is preferable.
