This is not a teleworking position.S3, Inc. is in search of a Senior Consultant II for the Short and Intermediate Effectors for Layered Defense (SHIELD) Project Office, on Redstone Arsenal, AL.Description:This pivotal position merges program management expertise with a profound understanding of technical services in the defense sector. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership in specialized technical fields, directing problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and the implementation of complex systems. The candidate should have a solid foundation in program management and Middle Tier Acquisition (MTA) strategy. The Senior Consultant II will play a key role in developing and executing acquisition strategies, ensuring adherence to DOD regulations and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and promoting system improvements and optimizations.Responsibilities:
  • The selected candidate will possess a documented history of operational support and strategic planning within the SHIELD Project Office or in comparable defense initiatives, showcasing the capability to liaise across functional teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • This role emphasizes the importance of material solution delivery, the creation of Contract Requirements Packages, and the coordination of Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs).
  • The Senior Consultant II will reflect our dedication to excellence, innovation, strategic expansion, and contributing significantly to our projects and broader goals.
  • Provide expert, independent services and leadership in specialized technical areas for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems in the subject matter area.
  • Provides recommendations and advice on system improvements, optimization, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with related technology and technical programs in the area of interest.
  • The candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, as well as work independently with minimal direction.
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent with five years’ relevant experience.
  • DOD Secret clearance of higher.
  • Developed and executed acquisition strategies in compliance with DOD regulations and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Developed Contract Requirements Packages and Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs).
