- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor under stressful situations
- Ability to maintain professional communication with parents, supervisors, co-teachers, and assistants
- Ability to work cooperatively
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with children, colleagues, and parents
- Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, talking, and sitting on the floor
- Routine sanitizing and disinfesting of toys and surfaces
- Must adhere to all health and safety policies, legal requirements, and program policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- No previous experience required; willing to train the right person
- This position requires a willingness to learn and flexibility to work with children of all ages 0-5 years
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must register in the PDIS and complete a minimum of 15 clock hours of continuing education each year
- Will train and support ongoing education
- Must be at least 16 years of age and work directly under the supervision of the Director or an Early Childhood Teacher
- Infant Staff Aides must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift, carry, and position children up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, talking, and sitting on the floor
- Must successfully complete background checks
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbal and written
