Vaco Boston has partnered with our client, a large and rapidly growing company in southern NH, that is seeking a Payroll SpecialistJob Responsibilities
  • Process our bi weekly payrolls and responsible for new hire & termination entry, changes in salary, benefits, tax withholdings, deductions, etc. via our payroll systems
  • Compile and maintain time and attendance data using Kronos Workforce Ready and Ceridian
  • Process sales commissions on a monthly basis and bonus payments on a quarterly basis, and other files as needed.
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary
  • Ensures payroll reporting and payments are compliant with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles, and federal, state and IRS regulations.
  • Responds to auditing and regulatory inquiries.
  • Verify, remit and finalize the transmission of employee deductions for the 401(k) to the appropriate vendors.
  • Respond to verification of employment requests.
  • Provide support to the Finance Department during company financial audits.
  • Develop ad hoc financial and monthly operational reporting as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in payroll preparation for a multi-location organization resolving complex payroll processing and employee payroll issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with routine and non-routine situations and exceptions, and applying appropriate judgment.
  • Strong client service orientation with ability to build trusting relationships throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality of employee data and established data systems.
