- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including diagnosing, repairing, and replacing faulty equipment and components.
- Install and configure software applications and updates, as well as operating systems, and ensure all software is up-to-date and compatible.
- Manage and maintain user accounts, including setting up new users, modifying existing accounts, and resetting passwords.
- Provide basic network support, including troubleshooting connectivity issues and setting up VPN connections.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems, including identifying and resolving security risks and ensuring system performance.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and order necessary equipment and software.
- Document technical processes, procedures, and solutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Train end-users on basic computer usage and best practices for system security and data management.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of audio-visual equipment for presentations and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Manager.
- Ability to lift and move equipment of up to 50lbs if needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role, with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as common office applications, such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and other cloud and infrastructure providers
- Familiarity with computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other network management tools.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve common network issues, such as connectivity and configuration issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL, incident management, and change management processes is a plus.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or ITIL Foundation are preferred but not required.
