- Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure the enterprise tools are aligned with Verisk's strategic priorities and goals.
- Proactively drive the vision for the enterprise tools and define and execute on a plan to achieve that vision.
- Build and maintain strong relationship with customers; serve as the point of contact for their escalations, engage customers, and provide timely communication regarding the enterprise tools portfolio.
- Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies and identify and recommend improvements in current methodologies.
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of systems, including architecture, data integration, high availability, security, and data privacy.
- Accountable for the availability and performance of the enterprise tools portfolio.
- Accountable for ensuring the enterprise tools are architected according to industry best practices and Verisk’s standards.
- Partner with other teams to streamline enterprise tools' acquisition and enhance financial efficiencies.
- Manage software suppliers and vendors effectively, including procurement, negotiations, terms, support, licenses, and professional services.
- Maintain license information and ensure all enterprise tools are compliant with license agreements.
- Prepare financial budgets, present proposals, and monitor spend to ensure budget alignment.
- Manage professional/technical staff, including recruitment, supervision, development, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Create a supportive team-oriented work climate; values diversity, promotes teamwork and collaboration, and emphasizes quality, customer satisfaction, creativity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Accountable for the performance and results of staff.
- Balance competing business needs, platform optimization, and staff workloads.
- Accountable for the delivery of projects in the enterprise tool portfolio.
- Collaborate with other project and portfolio management colleagues to effectively manage deliverables, timelines, resources, risks, and issues for successful delivery of projects.
- Highly organized, articulate, and communicative leader who is comfortable working with all levels of stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to translate technical requirements into language that is understandable to different audiences.
- Ability to understand, interpret, analyze, and communicate data in a matter that effectively supports decision-making, problem-solving, and project performance tracking.
- Must have leadership mentality with the ability to mentor other team members.
- Strong and effective interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and motivational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple competing projects and timelines.
- Must stay current on technological advancements and developments.
- 7+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise level initiatives.
- 10+ years of experience in Information Technology.
- Experience leading Enterprise DevOps tools.
- Experience leading Atlassian Cloud Enterprise migration and support.
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed including occasional weekends and evenings.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or relevant experience in technology.
