- Develop and produce the required marketing and promotional materials to assist in delivering the division's mission, goals and objectives for fundraising, alumni engagement, and donor stewardship.
- Craft personalized, customized and persuasive multi-channel direct marketing appeals in support of annual giving goals and objectives.
- Develop donor-centric, highly persuasive fundraising proposals and cases for fundraising support in collaboration with major and principal gift officers.
- Create copy for collateral (e.g., sell sheets, event collateral, etc.) and provide art direction to the graphic designer as needed.
- Craft messaging and content, as needed, in relevant digital channels.
- Act as a managing editor of the division's primary alumni e-newsletter Tiger's Tale and other divisional e-newsletters as needed.
- Deliver consistent messaging across all channels while upholding RIT's brand guidelines and editorial style guide.
- Provide leadership in the development of strategic and data-driven digital marketing plans as a component of the larger marketing and communications strategy for various divisional initiatives.
- Coordinate and execute email marketing initiatives and digital advertising campaigns in collaboration with internal partners to ensure cohesion and alignment with brand and editorial standards.
- Monitor, track, report and analyze channel performance, internal partner feedback, market trends, and interpret results to amend and execute marketing plans and corresponding tactics. Apply insights and data-driven decisions and recommendations that inform the overarching digital strategy.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with Annual Giving, Alumni and Constituent Engagement and University Development teams.
- Provide on-going support for major programs and initiatives of the division and the university including but not limited to Brick City Homecoming events, donor/alumni events, Imagine RIT Festival, presidential and retiree events, giving and gratitude days, and convocation/commencement, among others.
- Serve as content manager of the division's websites assisting in developing a strategy that ensures content is current and up-to-date while also building a library of relevant web content to drive engagement.
- Create or coordinate content and promotional assets, including images, written articles, and videos to properly message and drive engagement and conversion.
- Responsible for performing updates to the web and intranet sites through a content management system.
- Manage one student employee and direct their work in support of the division's marketing needs.

- Minimum of 3-5 years marketing experience including direct marketing/digital marketing.
- Outstanding verbal, presentation, and written communication skills: an attentive listener, articulate public speaker, and clear and persuasive writer. High energy, clear goal orientation, and attention to detail.
- Current knowledge and technical understanding of communications tools (all varieties) available on the market and experience in connecting with large, diverse audiences.
- Proven copy writing skills and the ability to write compelling marketing and solicitation copy for both print and digital environments.
- Ability to independently initiate, organize and complete program/project plans.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently. Proven time management abilities.
- Experience with web content management (e.g., Drupal) and email marketing platforms (Blackbaud Luminate Online).
- Experience with social media platforms and tools (e.g., Brandwatch).
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with HTML/CSS and custom template designs within content management systems (CMS) a plus.
- Demonstrated experience using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Experience or interest in higher education and fundraising.

The position will generate persuasive writing for a variety of platforms, develop and implement digital advertising campaigns, and become a super user of multiple digital platforms including but not limited to Drupal, AirTable, Brandwatch, and Blackbaud's Luminate Online.
