The Chief of Staff will partner with the Director of Operations and the VP, GM, Global Advertising to help provide timely executive updates and ensure efficient execution for this multi-billion business.You will be an effective communicator, capable collaborator, and strong executor. They will work with key partners for the Advertising organization to review current strategies and drive structured and data-based recommendations to action. Within this role, the candidate will have the ability to influence key elements of eBay’s Ads strategy and to help shape the future direction of eBay. The ideal candidate has a track record of making pragmatic, actionable recommendations with real world implementation experience.Responsibilities:Strategy: Work with key leaders in the Advertising organization to define the long-term strategy and communicate it throughout the company. This may include roadmap strategies or operational strategies tied to our headcount and location makeup.Facilitation: Lead sessions for the leadership team including operating cadences and planning.Execution: Develop collateral for updates to eBay's Leadership Team and Board of Directors. Work closely with the Director of Operations, Program Managers, Product Managers, Finance, Analytics, Engineering and Go to Market leads to acquire the latest information and translate it into executive collateral.Communication skills: Strong oral and written executive-level communication skills, and strong presentation skills.Job Requirements:Excellence in structured thinking with outstanding analytical capabilities (quantitative and qualitative)Ability to communicate clearly and simply with mid-level and senior audiences. Strong presentation skillsComfort in reaching out and organizing cross-functional collaboration in a highly matrixed environmentAbility to lead, empower and implement at different levelsComfort with uncertaintyHighly collaborative and organizedQualifications:5+ years of work experience preferred. Top tier strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy experience strongly preferredBS/BA degree requiredIndustry experience in commerce/retail, consumer goods or internet services a plusThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below. $106,800 - $162,800Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
