- 5-8 years of demonstrated experience in:
o Troubleshooting server hardware related failures: swap hard drives, memory, short-run cabling, etc.
o Installing and decommissioning of Servers, Network gear, Racks, etc. in Data Centers and Network Closets.
o Aggressive execution of project related tasks, with a high level of quality and on time delivery.
o Working support tickets through the use of systems like ServiceNow.
o IT Asset Management.
- Working knowledge of:
o Data Center and IDF Cooling / Power / Electrical Equipment including critical and essential PDU’s, UPS, Switchgear, DC Power Management Systems, and Building Monitoring / Control Systems.
o DCIM software / ITIL Foundations.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 24/7 On-Call Position: Must handle and respond to urgent events when they occur.
- Work with internal IT team and Service Providers to deliver the infrastructure solutions (Server, Storage, Network, etc.), enforce applicable policies, and ensure compliance with business and technology strategy.
- Work with internal IT team and Service Providers to identify changes needed in the infrastructure / technology configuration; identify current and projected limitations.
- Effectively manage internal IT team and Service Providers to ensure consistent, high quality infrastructure, timely setup / maintenance of needed technology, customer service and satisfaction.
- Assess and approve of proposed changes affecting Data Center supported infrastructure.
- Forecast infrastructure technology demand including transaction and data volume and timing.
- Design and implement strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets demand.
- Ensure adherence to incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Manage multiple infrastructure projects concurrently.
- Ensure proper financial planning and management of the infrastructure supported.
- Identify and define processes necessary to manage and support infrastructure.
- Ensure operational metrics are appropriately defined and reported consistently.
- Maintain availability performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining high availability of services.
- Define and enhance tactical methodologies and / or hardware and software standards.
- Build collaborative relationships with IT Leadership and work in close coordination with them to ensure infrastructure readiness according to planned implementation / release milestones.
- Manage incoming shipments; develop, update, and maintain a rigorous Lifecycle Management Plan (LCMP) for all area hardware and software.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and audit requirements including SOX, PCI, or other compliance types as it relates to IT controls.
