DescriptionRivier University's Division of Business and Security Studies invites ongoing applications for a qualified, credentialed candidate for Homeland Security & Emergency Management Instructor - Adjunct Faculty. Reporting to the Director of Security Studies program, the Adjunct Instructor is responsible for providing homeland security and emergency management related courses with on-campus, face-to-face instruction at the undergraduate levels.Duties and Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will join the core Business and Security Studies faculty in the education of students, with the following primary responsibilities:
  • Assume teaching, advisement, and mentoring responsibilities for students in the traditional face-to-face teaching and learning model;
  • Undergraduate two daytime class meetings per week;
  • Participate in ongoing program growth and development, particularly with respect to the integration of technology throughout all program experiences; and
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, both in the division and throughout the University.
Typical Qualifications
  • Master's degree is required, a terminal degree in Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Global Security, or highly related field is preferred;
  • The successful candidate will have leadership/administrative experience in the national security apparatus; and
  • The ability and willingness to support the mission of the University and to work collaboratively and collegially with departmental and institutional colleagues.
