Our Networking team is responsible for cross agency network environment in support of critical systems for our employees and citizens, with minimal downtime. As the Network Operations Analyst you would perform professional technical work which requires advanced analytical and technical assignments serving our infrastructure teams, Pinellas County affiliates, departments, and organizations to assist with maintaining and growing technologies and ensuring business value outcomes.If you are dynamic, ambitious, creative, and autonomous, you will appreciate working with our team of technology professionals committed to providing value-added services on our stakeholder’s technology projects.   • Responsible for analytical support in the development, installation, implementation, testing, evaluation and administration of the local, wide area and telecommunications networks.
  • Install, configure, test, and support a variety of network/telecommunications components and devices.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on network/telecommunications segments and components.
  • Perform a variety of duties relative to assigned area of responsibility.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve network/telecommunications related problems.
  • Recommend and implement changes and improvements.
  • Monitor security and performance.
  • Identify unauthorized access and potential security risks.
  • Participate in or lead projects to enhance security operations.
  • Measure volume and performance of network/telecommunications traffic.
  • Identify and make recommendations to improve utilization and performance issues.
  • Assist in design strategies and recommendations to improve performance.
  • Demonstrates advanced-level proficiency in Network Management.
  • Demonstrates advanced-level job knowledge, quality, dependability, judgment, communications, and initiative, with demonstrated advanced-level proficiency in meeting design specifications of network/telephony systems, with the following core competencies: Analysis, Design, Business Process Improvement, Implementation, Monitoring/Controls, Troubleshooting/Problem Solving, Documentation, and Service Motivation.

What Do You Need To Have?
  • At least 6 years of experience as described below; or
  • Associate's degree in information technology, computer science, computer technology, or related field; and at least 4 years of experience as described below; or
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher-level degree and 2 years of experience as described below; or
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience as described below.
Experience
  • Technical and professional IT networking experience in large, diversified organization.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco route/switch technology.
  • Knowledge in several of the following areas: routing protocols, switching protocols, wireless access points, network services, VoIP telephony, load balancing, firewalls, virtual servers, and application development.
  • Experience in a fast-paced operations, implementation, and planning role.
  • Customer service and 1 year of team leadership or supervision
Additional Requirements
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent.
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid State of Florida Driver's License upon hire with eligibility based upon evaluation of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) driving report.
  • Must successfully obtain and maintain Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Level 4 - CJIS Security & Awareness Certification.
  • Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations.
Highly Desirable· An associate’s level certification in any of the following technologies:
  • Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCA)
  • Palo Alto Network Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Auditor (CISSA)
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
