- Analyze requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project/program.
- Determine what factors of production will influence the cost and schedule of the BTP product.
- Evaluates raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production.
- Plans, schedules and coordinates production of the company’s Build-to-Print (BTP) products.
- Monitors costs to ensure the production process stays within budget
- Communicates frequently with purchasing, quality and production teams to ensure products are delivered on-time and error free.
- Prepare status and performance reports on L2 production.
- Work closely with Sales and Production to forecast future requirements to anticipate production demands.
- Timely creation of Build-of-Material (BOM) lists for ERP entry and proposal generation.
- Works with the BTP sales team to ensure timely and accurate proposals are submitted to the customer that meet company and customer requirements.
- Monitor current category market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges and opportunities
- In conjunction with the purchasing team to develop spend strategies, identify potential suppliers, analyze supplier capabilities, select suppliers and determine prices, terms, and conditions of agreements.
- Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for BTP harnesses/products.
- Develop production planning strategies that deliver against business objectives and achieves sustainable relationships with customers.
- Assist the Production Planning Supervisor in the best coordination of purchasing activities.

- B.S./B.A. in Business/Project Management/Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- Aviation specific work plan experience preferred.
- Two (2) years prior experience in aviation materials, shipping, and costing required.
- Advanced knowledge of production management and Project Management required.
- PMP certification highly desired.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks within a group environment.
- Ability to accept direction and additional responsibilities from one or more sources.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work in an automated ERP system.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computers and related software.
- Proven ability to manage independent projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Convey a positive and professional attitude towards staff members, clients and vendors.
- Punctuality expected and overtime hours as necessary.
- Ability to communicate in an assertive yet professional, motivating and tactful manner.
