Requirements:
  • Registered competent Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with the Occupational Safety & Health Department (DOSH) - valid Green Book is a must for this position.
  • Certified Authorized Entrant &Standby Person for Confined Space Refresher course from NIOSH.
  • Certified Authorized Gas Tester & Entry Supervisor for Confined Space course from NIOSH.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 year of working experience from manufacturing industries is required for this position.
  • Experience in ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / FSC certification.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Applicant must be willing to be based in Banting.

This expansion involved acquiring a local paper plant and establishing a recycled paper mill, marking a significant investment in the region.Position: Safety Officer (Green Book)Location: BantingResponsibilities:
  • Establish and secure the safety and health of employees at factory, the starting point being the compliance with legislative requirements in accordance to the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.
  • Conduct to every employee during Orientation Safety & Health Program/ retraining sessions the Company statement on Safety and Health Policy.
  • Facilitate and supervise emergency response team for the employees at workplace and hostel and to ensure Emergency Response Plan has been established.
  • Monitoring company's fire alarm system, equipment such as hose reels, fire extinguisher, first aid kits from time to time
  • Facilitate and coordinate workplace SHE Committee Meeting for organizing and implementation of safety activities for awareness, risk control and preventive measures
  • Managing EHS in corporate organization and functions for all sites, specifically as role of EHS committee advisory.
  • Ensure the compliance related to policies and procedures been maintained and applied.
  • To anticipate, prevent and eliminate all unsafe conditions and practices at site.
  • Involved in risk/hazard assessment at site.
  • Liaise with DOE, DOSH, BOMBA and local authority.
  • Ensure regulatory documentation and records maintained.
  • To undertake any other ad-hoc tasks as may be required from time to time.
