Position: Licensed Journeyman Electrician

Reports To: Project Foreman / Project ManagerLoenbro Industrial Services is looking for Journeyman Electricians in New Mexico. This is a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety, is a self-starter, and who has experience in a heavy industrial environment. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently or as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of industrial equipment and systems.Job Duties:
  • Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
  • Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
  • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
  • Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
  • Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
  • Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • The Electrician will follow and perform other instructions and other related duties as set forth by management
  • Capable of reading and understanding over view drawings, one-line drawings, and electrical schematics
  • Ability to layout conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations.
  • Work with and train apprentices on the job.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Must be a New Mexico licensed electrician
  • Minimum Journeyman Skill level experience in instrumentation an industrial electrical system
  • Experience in electrical and pneumatic process controls
  • Must be reliable, work hard and willing to put in the hours needed
  • Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Basic computer knowledge is required.
Potential Hazards:
  • Outside the majority of the time
  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures
  • Limited working surfaces
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility
  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time on a monthly basis for required tasks
  • If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
Essential Requirements:
  • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of 2 miles per day, Standing
  • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel
  • Use of respirator if position requires
  • Driving if required to travel
