Fostering a culture of innovation, flexibility, and excellence, we create products, services, and experiences that are leading the way to a safer tomorrow.Position Summary: The Manufacturing Production Supervisor directly supervises manufacturing production employees in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, supervising, training, and evaluating employees; Responsible for assigning and directing production employees while validating and ensuring that all standard operating procedures and quality procedures are documented, followed, and performed timely, accurately, and consistently. The ideal candidate would be skilled in production and manufacturing while being able to assist throughout the facility in the maintenance and troubleshooting/repair of assembly and other production equipment. Responsible for the timely completion of assigned PMs throughout the shop. Evaluate the efficiency of the production process for both labor and materials and recommend improvements for quality and efficiency. Enforce safety, and housekeeping, and recommend any continuous improvement initiatives value added to the process.Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position requires production and manufacturing supervisory experience.SHIFT:Monday- Friday2:00 PM until 11:00 PM Requirements:Production Supervisor Duties/ Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • The production-focused thought process in fast-paced environment.
  • Work with the manufacturing team to ensure production run priorities are understood and goals are consistently met.
  • Work with the team to set up the manufacturing line and any process lines to meet product specifications and production goals.
  • Work with the team to plan and establish production targets, work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Work with other staff and team members throughout the plant to maintain running order of the equipment both in and out of the area supervised.
  • Communicate issues and observations to the manufacturing team and the maintenance team with all necessary information to facilitate high production and low downtime.
  • Enter and review work orders, specifications, and instructions to determine materials, settings/adjustments for the manufacture and packaging of products.
  • Shut down processes, isolate products, and notify management when a product fails to meet standards.
  • Ensure that materials and finished products are moved between storage and work areas, using racks, hand trucks, or other industrial-powered equipment.
  • Ability to be flexible in work assignments and scheduling.
  • Identify Continuous Improvement Opportunities and utilize 5S / Lean Manufacturing Principles.
Production Supervisor OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • Use of ERP Software System / Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Ability to operate manufacturing equipment/machinery.
  • Experience driving industrial-powered equipment is useful for loading or unloading material or workpiece into machinery.
  • Read specifications, work orders, instructions, formulas, or processing charts.
  • Confer with engineering, technical, or manufacturing personnel.
  • Maintain consistent production quality, examining products or work to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Monitor production machinery/equipment operations to detect problems.
  • Maintain production or work records.
  • Talking to others to convey information effectively or teaching others how to perform work tasks.
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Lean Manufacturing / 5 S Principals / Continuous Improvement Skills or Experience.
