DataStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a Junior Project Manager for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Raleigh, NC.*This position is hybrid, some onsite work will be requiredResponsibilities
  • Support the Electronic Health Record Program Management Office and lead projects.
  • Responsibility for the successful completion of end-to-end project work, including all work products, especially those defined by the PMI's PMBOK and State PM Methodology
  • Oversight of projects comprised of multiple deliverables, including delegation and coordination of tasks
  • Responsibility for creation and management of the integrated program-level and individual project plans, execution of the project plan, status, meetings, scope changes, risk and issue tracking/mitigation/resolution, coordination across project teams, etc.
  • Negotiations internal and external to the project teams
  • Managing scope, resources, timelines, costs/budget, quality, communication, and procurements to meet the goals of the State
  • Development and execution of training and education on standard project management requirements and methods, facilitating project governance and reporting, and creating models to improve business decisions
  • Develop program level status reports, briefings, policies and procedures.
  • Able to manage simple to medium complexity work efforts, with Health IT and EHR experience.
Required Skills:
  • 3 Years - Project management experience, preferably with small to medium complex automation implementation efforts involving vendor management
  • 3 Years - Demonstrated Project Management experience for deployment of new application/information systems
  • 3 Years - Proven track record of delivering IT projects within budget, scope and schedule.
  • 3 Years - Objective decision-making ability based on strategic objectives priority, business performance analysis and resource availability
  • 3 Years - Hands on experience managing project risk, cost, schedule, quality, testing, and communications
  • 3 Years - Strong supervision, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
  • 3 Years - Demonstrated presentation, training skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • 3 Years - Solid work experience with project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project)
  • 3 Years - Experience with MS Office
Desired Skills:
  • 2 Years - Electronic Health Record system implementation experience
  • 2 Years - Health information technology experience
  • 3 Years - Business Analysis experience
  • State Government experience
  • PMI certification Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Experience managing or supervising legacy Healthcare related system replacement projects
