$120k/yearJob Description:The Payroll Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring payroll tax accuracy and maintaining compliance with tax regulations. Leads and develops a team of payroll analysts.Essential Duties:
- Coordinate work assignments, prioritize tasks, and ensure the team's timely completion of tax-related projects and deliverables. Coordinates with key business partners to review and monitor cross-departmental process impact.
- Reviews and analyzes payroll tax procedures; applies continuous improvement methods to streamline processes and mitigate risk.
- Lead and manage a team of payroll analysts, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Manages and reports on key performance indicators and metrics.
- Develops staffing plans and establishes work schedules; prioritizes team workload to maintain service levels.
- Works with federal and state tax agencies, and third parties to resolve escalations.
- Coordinated Communicate inter-company funding activities related to payroll expense
- Conduct internal audits to identify potential tax issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in resolving tax-related disputes and participate in negotiations, settlements, and appeals, if required.
- Oversee Year End Payroll Processes with vendor
- Prior supervisory and management experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex information in order to improve practices or develop new approaches.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's (B.A./B.S.) in Business or related discipline and two to four years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- UKG Payroll Experience Preferred.
- FPC/CPP certification preferred
