- Administration of the CU FAMLI and Family and Medical Leave Act benefits and supplemental payments.
- Collaborate between the leave team and the payroll team to ensure leaves are accurately tracked, paid, and reported in the HCM payroll system.
- Run specific queries to help validate that paylines reflect the expected FAMLI earnings and any supplemental earnings.
- Coordinate with the leave team on any needed check reversals and ensure that reissues happen timely.
- Review a check reversal query and collaborate with the leave team if a reversal was requested by a campus partner and has FAMLI payments.
- Build sustainable relationships with both the leave team and payroll team through trust and open and interactive communication.

- Responsible for researching policies, practices and procedures in order to accurately do the job.
- Work with the leave team and campus HR teams to address complex cases.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education, or equivalent professional experience (professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis)
- One (1) year of experience in a payroll, benefits or leave related environment, or similar.
- Two (2) years’ professional experience related to coordinating and supporting leave programs, or other similar programs, which includes:
- Experience with researching and applying federal and state program compliance requirements.
- Experience with case management and documentation.
- Two (2) years of experience using PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 or other similar Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
- Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll for North America and CU MyLeave
- Experience working in Higher Education.
- Experience working with payroll processing.
- Fundamental payroll knowledge
- Ability to work in a team environment and delegate appropriately.
