- Majority of assignments are performed independently with technical assistance from the CYS Coordinator when required.
- Serves as a member of the Installation Child and Youth Evaluation Team to ensure compliance with health, fire, safety, facility and program regulatory requirements and CYS baseline standards.
- Recruits and hires qualified personnel utilizing Army CYS Standard Position Descriptions. Supervises and evaluates employees based on established performance standards.
- Develops program budget and provides to CYS Coordinator for CYS budget. Manages program to budget. Conducts written analyses of budget variances.
- Establishes and maintains an active program of parental involvement, providing parent education opportunities and encouraging parent observation and participation.
- Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment or placement into the position.
- Proof of education is required at the time of application.
- Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and of policy including annual influenza vaccinations.

- Travel to on and off post locations required.
- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15.m., and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation is required.

1.12 months of professional experience in managing a child or youth facility is required. This experience must be equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower level to include the following:
2. Demonstrated experience in managing an entire cycle of operation of a CYS facility to include budgeting, facility management, supply management, program development, implementation, selection, training and supervision of personnel and curriculum oversight.
3. The ability to plan and organize work, analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and recognize solutions.
4. Comprehensive oral and communications skills and analytical writing skills.
5. Ability to present ideas and proposals to a variety of audiences.Highly qualified candidates will possess 2 years' experience as a Facility Director in an Army (or other DoD branch) Child and Youth Services Program.Applicants that possess the highly qualified criteria may be sent first for consideration. - Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs may be authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.
- This is a pay-banded position.
- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). - Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.

- This is a Full -Time position with a minimum workweek of 40 hours and eligible for benefits.
