- Ensure that all systems supporting the research and trading process are up-to-date and accurate, including market data, position data, and risk reports.
- Expand and increase robustness of current position and risk management system via building new custom functionality (R/Python/SQL)
- Cross-train as backup and support for the daily management and maintenance of both the front and back end of our position and risk management system.
- Work with portfolio managers to build and integrate pricing models into our portfolio and risk management systems.
- Improve all sub-optimal processes. When you see something that could be improved, improve it.
- Assist with Global Tactical Asset Allocation research, including new signal development, optimal position sizing, and building and maintaining daily models and reports.
- Assist in evaluating external funds and strategies for inclusion into the portfolio.
- Provide support to Compliance for government reporting.
- Assuming responsibility for 100% compliance with the laws, regulations, company policy, and industry standards applicable to this role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Proficiency in programming R, Python, C/C++, or Java to build systems.
- Proficiency in SQL and database design (i.e., ability to write database queries and knowledge of database design principles.).
- Proficiency with version management systems like Git, SVN.
