- Provide support as a liaison between Product Engineering and Manufacturing floor to train on new processes, resolve problems, or identify additional requirements to existing processes.
- Evaluate, develop and maintain manufacturing process specifications.
- Evaluate, identify and/or resolve tooling/fixture/process/gauging/assembly needs as required to maintain production and essential quality requirements.
- Conduct product cost estimates and evaluations of alternative production methods.
- Identify, evaluate, and perform capital equipment justifications based on needs of manufacturing.
- Develop/maintain time standards utilizing most current facility policy.
- Develop facility layouts based on workflow, production requirements, cost, equipment, and Associate safety.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending appropriate seminars, membership in associations, and subscription to publications.
- Train new and other Engineering Associates as required.

- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related discipline, required.
- Minimum 5 + years of experience in manufacturing environment, required.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience required.
- Knowledge of Computer Aided Design or other relevant computer applications, required.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing environment, medical device industry or Class II medical device manufacturing environment, preferred.
- Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 820/211 or other applicable medical device standards (ISO 13485, EUMDR, MDSAP), preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and strong presentation skills.
- Leadership skills as demonstrated through team lead or project leadership experience.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication; conventional and CNC Machining, assembly and paint processes and tools; capital equipment justification preparation; manufacturing systems, preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 5% to other U.S. locations, as required.
