We invite you to put your talents and career in motion at Flowserve.Responsibilities:People managementSupervise the day to day work of the team including invoice processing, payment, accounting, collections, month end closing processes and account reconciliations under US-GAAP as applicable for the team ledInitiate resource needs based on appropriate approvalsActively participate in recruitment and selection processes and employer brandingOnboarding of new joiners and support their integration into the team and facilitate process inductionHelp develop an environment and culture that supports the attraction and retention of quality talentSupport their team members to develop clear ownership and understanding of the processes and metrics necessary to continue financial activity including KPIs and other business metricsProactively organize employee engagement activities and reward top talentManages talent process for own team: Performance management, talent assessment, succession planning and development plan creation and follow-upMentor and continuous coaching for team membersManage personnel-related issues within teamResponsible for balancing team workload and ensuring month-end deadlines and other KPI targets are met for the teamCreate appropriate backup structure and cross-training to ensure continuous service levelsAct as a role model for team and represent Flowserve values in daily behaviors, activities, and decisionsProcessBuild a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvementCoordinate internal and external audit requestIn cooperation with process Subject Matter Expert and other teams in the BSC, supervise own team to transition responsibilities from sites into the BSCEnsure up-to-date process documentation, updating, maintaining process workflowsKnowledge management, updating knowledge base for own teamWork cross functionally to ensure BSC processes work within the assigned area of responsibilityQuality and legal compliance and controlsForecast and monitor the team’s workload and activities, holiday, overtime, etc. while ensuring legal compliance and quality controlImplement, and maintain effective internal controls for own areaReport activities of the team to stakeholders through regular and ad hoc reportingMonitor appropriate accesses for all team members in line with SOX, other legal and Flowserve process requirementsEnsure compliance with FLS policies, US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as defined by FLS, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and local statutory laws and regulations and that business is conducted within FLS ethical code of business conduct.Demonstrate thorough understanding of financial controls for local and SOX requirements.Provide advice as needed and ensure governance and internal control standards are embedded in the end to end processes and operations.Stakeholder managementBuild partnerships with stakeholders internal and external to own team.Work with stakeholders to ensure accurate and controlled financial statements for own domain.Maintain a functional and healthy relationship with site leadership, procurement, finance, and other stakeholders based on need of cooperation.Expectations:Bachelor's Degree in accounting for Supervisor roles required or economic/business studies (for all Finance Supervisor roles) preferred, Master's Degree is a plusChartered Accountant, CPA or equivalent preferred (for Supervisor roles)5+ years’ experience is required, (2+ years in a Shared Service center)US GAAP or IFRS knowledge required (for Supervisor roles) or preferred (for all other Finance Supervisor roles) based on team ledDemonstrated ability to motivate and develop peopleExcellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills in EnglishStrong drive for action and proactivity in recognizing and resolving issuesConfident user of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with stakeholdersStrong ability for action to proactively recognize and resolve issuesAbility to cope with and drive process changesContinuous improvement mindset (LEAN Six Sigma is an advantage)What we can offer you:Friendly multicultural environment and team eventsLife, accident and health insuranceCafeteria PackageCareer development and training opportunityHybrid work (2 days/week home office)
