Essential Duties1. Serves as Front of House Sound Operator for productions. Operates sound equipment for level-setting sessions, technical rehearsals, understudy rehearsals, and performances. 2. Interprets, executes and creates sound production paperwork. 3. Participates at load-in, notes sessions, technical rehearsals and strike of productions. 4. Participates in the installation of backstage communications, paging, earing assistance, and audio description systems and checks these systems before technical rehearsals and performances. 5. Creates run sheets for productions and in tracking mixing console settings. 6. Oversees the preparation, placement and testing of wireless microphones. 7. Tracks appropriate show supplies. 8. Oversees the implementation of overhead rigging for sound equipment. 9. Maintains and repairs sound department facilities, tools, and equipment. 10. Uses a variety of advanced tools, processes, materials, and equipment in completing assigned projects. 11. Maintains the safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of all sound department storage and workspaces. 12. Transports equipment. 13. Serves as Sound Engineer on outside events as needed. 14. Assists related departments in load-in, notes sessions, technical rehearsals, and strike of productions as assigned. 15. Attends appropriate meetings and rehearsals. 16. Works frequent nights, weekends and holidays. 17. May perform other duties as assigned.Required Education and ExperienceSix years of related work experience, four of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and a high school level education; or four years of related work experience and an Associate's degree; or the equivalent combination of experience of experience and education.
