- Design, develop, and test electrical components and systems including circuit boards, processors, battery systems, and wireless communication modules (Bluetooth, LTE-M, GNSS) for consumer electronics.
- Evaluate and enhance product designs for power management, energy efficiency, and wireless connectivity, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and product managers, to integrate electrical systems and solve interdisciplinary design challenges.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for product design and system issues.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in battery technology, IoT, and wireless communication protocols and integrate them into product designs where applicable.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including product design specifications, test protocols, and regulatory submissions.
- Support manufacturing processes and quality control to ensure products meet required specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required. Advanced degree is preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in the design and development of IoT enabled, battery-operated consumer electronics.
- Experience with analog and digital design with mixed signal interface and conversion circuit knowledge and the ability to specify components and/or subassemblies.
- Experience with power conversion for high efficiency, high reliability, battery powered systems.
- Experience with PWB layout, packaging, and test of low-noise, mixed-mode circuitry.
- Demonstrated expertise in power management, energy storage technologies, and wireless communications (Bluetooth, LTE-M, GNSS).
- High proficiency in using CAD and simulation software for circuit design and analysis.
- Strong design, debug, and troubleshooting skills with solid hands-on lab experience using oscilloscopes, logic/spectrum analyzers and other test equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience designing for high volume manufacturing.
