JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE : AftermarketManufacturing EngineerPLANT/DEPARTMENT: Iron River/KingsfordSUPERVISOR : Production/Mfg. Engr Mgr.IMPORTANT WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Manufacturing, Engineering, Plant PersonnelSUPERVISES: NonePRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Design and development of manufacturing aids and processes to insure time efficiency and effectiveness and consistent quality.MAJOR DUTIES:1. Create and maintain routings and time estimates for Lake Shore products2. Participate in lean design and cost reduction activity3. Assist in evaluating existing and new equipment requirements4. Assist in the design and development of jigs and fixtures, follow-up to assure proper needs have been obtained5. Review current manufacturing processes and design and review for future process improvements6. Assist in the development of time study reports and other duties as may be necessary7. Problem solve on shop floor & other departments as needed or observed8. Other duties as assignedEDUCATION PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES : H.S. degree required, A.S. or B.S.ME. preferred and/or appropriate experience consideredEXPERIENCE PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES: Computer knowledge required, AutoCAD helpful - 3-4 years manufacturing experience preferred - Must be a team player with excellent communication skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand, sit, bend, squat for long periods, climb ladder, lift 50# unaided; possess good hearing, and normal vision i.e., normal color vision, no cataracts.Equal Opportunity Employer of Protected Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities/Affirmative Action Employer.
