PURPOSE OF JOBThis 1st shift position will prepare shipments, material certifications, and raw material traceability. Perform all product shipment functions. Documents and maintains shipping records and inventory accuracy. Monitor shipping and stockroom supplies.Essential Job Duties:
  • Prepares shipments by staging, packing, protecting, and labeling containers, utilizing detailed shipping specifications.
  • Prepares material certifications and all necessary accompanying paperwork as requested by customer specifications.
  • Follows all product handling procedures; handles product with care.
  • Maintains raw material traceability as required by shipping specifications.
  • Ships items utilizing all approved carriers as specified by the packing slip.
  • Maintains shipping records.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy by labeling and placing items in stock.
  • Documents and reports stock transactions and shortages
  • Monitors supplies necessary for shipping/stocking areas.
  • Climb ladders, use hand truck and pallet jack.
  • Performs cycle counts and physical inventories, as necessary.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to do overhead lifting.
  • Ability to stand throughout an eight-hour shift.
  • Must have basic math and computer skills.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Maintain proficiency in completing the duties of an Inventory Clerk as operational demands may require.
Experience:Preferably have 3-5 years’ experience performing the following duties: Data entry in a computer terminal, as well as physical inventory counting. Inventory control processes and procedures. Be able to concentrate in a busy work environment and be detail-oriented to maintain a high level of quality and maintain a safe working environment. Able to walk, lift, bend, sit and/or stand throughout an eight or ten-hour day. Must be able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs. from a floor or table position to chest high using a proper lifting technique.
